Christmas 2010 roundup

Nick's holiday vacation time began on Monday the 20th so we spent it at home cleaning and packing before hitting the road to Alabama.

Tuesday and Wednesday

We spent all day in McCalla with my family. We did absolutely NOTHING! Nick got some much needed rest and I guess I did too. On Wednesday we went to a friends house and B got his first Christmas gift.






Thursday and Friday

We spent all day Thursday and Friday in Trussville. We spent the night at Nick's grandparents (Mema and Big Daddy) house.

We had our Christmas with Nick's mom (Kacky), sister (Alli) and brother (Mitch) on Thursday evening.

Friday, lunchtime, we went to Nick's dad's (Awgie) house to spend time with him.

Awgie scored me this awesome cookbook. B and I were check'in it out!

Friday night, Christmas Eve, we always spend with Nick's mom's extended family. We enjoyed some yummy food then presents!

Santa was nice enough to stop by my parents house for a visit to see Bryant before bedtime Christmas Eve. B was excited to see him, but very tired.

For Daddy

Nick was feeling a bit "green" yesterday, so I did this to cheer him up.




It worked!

I took this on my phone so the quality isn't that great, but who cares when the image is priceless!

13 Months

Bryant has not tried standing up unassisted or attempted to take baby steps, but he loves his walker and I help him with laps around the house.

He has mastered using his sippy cup, all by himself. Well, I say mastered. He still holds it upside down and tries to drink. Yesterday was the day! He had been trying all week and would get it in his mouth, but couldn't quit figure out why nothing was coming out...the light bulb went off, I guess, and he finally turned it up!

He has decided to be a bit picky about what he wants to eat. Also, he doesn't like being feed with a fork. He prefers a spoon. But MUCH prefers to feed himself, with his hands, of course.

He has found cabinets and toilets. I've even caught him playing in the toilet water...teach us to leave the seat up, right!

I took these this morning...one right after the other, and oh yes, that is the kitchen chemical cabinet.









I love Dixie in the photo above. I think she likes to see him get in trouble. Not really, she just has to be where the action is. If she's had enough she runs and hides, but B is typically, not far behind her. This was a total submission moment...



He really hasn't tried to pull down the Christmas tree. He has just been a bit curious of the ornaments on the bottom.
