Spaghetti time

Bryant had SPAGHETTI last night for dinner!

He still has not figured out that his hands are his best friends, but he will get it. He sure does study them...almost like he is counting, so I encourage that and count along with him. It's quit funny because he will just look up at me like I'm crazy. It will all make sense to him one day.

Other news...

Dixie loves all of the attention with Bryant and me at home. She doesn't miss a beat...

She is very curious of the Johnny Jump Up...

This is her place on the couch. Bryant likes to pull up and say hello...

Is it me or does she look a bit scared....like, Uh oh here is this kid back to pull on my ears some-more...

Bryant says follow me Dixie...

This is her favorite spot in the whole house these days...

Gotta be where the action is...

I love this! Nick is teaching him early...Bryant LOVES our Blackberry's and the computer; when Nick plays Brickbraker and when we Skype with family. Do they make a Little Tikes or Baby Einstein version of a Blackberry?

Looking at this picture you can imagine the sound he is making...This is his favorite sound...one he makes a lot during the day...

This is how he likes to play...

Re-discovered our rattle. It was hidden in the diaper bag...

This is some early birthday prep. My friend, Courtney, did this for her son, Elisha's birthday, and I loved it so much I decided to do it for B...

Caught on camera

Since catching Bryant crawl on camera his skills have improved, dramatically. He is much faster and can crawl from the living room to the hall to the kitchen. Whatever path one takes...he follows. He likes plants and Dixie's water bowl.

This is very short video of him crawling to me last night...

Another FUN! update on Bryant is he pulled up on his activity table Monday this week. I haven't caught that on camera, but I hope too and will post for all to enjoy. I am just so blessed to be able to be at home with him and experience these firsts!

Michelle (aka Aunt Pea) came over on Friday and we went to a "ALL 4 Kids" consignment sale at a local church. I was looking for a few baby items and lucked up to get one thing I was looking for....A JOHNNY JUMP UP! I paid six bucks for it (Nana - I hope that makes you proud). Bryant was unsure of it at first, but here he is this evening...

I found a few pieces of clothing for the fall and I also got a push walker for five bucks! Bryant likes the toys on the front of it and we are showing him how to hold on to the handle so when he is ready he can push it around like a lawn mower.

Quick update

Bryant enjoys being awake, playing with his toys...so, he fights me when its time to nap. Typically, I put him down in his crib and he will fall asleep. This day, I didn't and he fell asleep playing with his toys. It's sad and sweet all at the same time.

We are trying finger foods! What a MESS! I am going to start stripping him down to a diaper to eat.

Menu: Strawberry Nutri-Gran Bar and Mandarine Oranges

He enjoys playing with his farm...tending to the garden, playing with the pig...

Lingerie Shower

I hosted my very first party last night!!! A lingerie shower for my friend, Kyli. Kyli and I worked together at Spanx. She is getting married in September.

I made the cake along with some other desserts and the poppyseed chicken casserole. All were a hit.

The Cake

4 layer Strawberry Cake with Vanilla icing (thank you Mema and Kathy). I added the milk chocolate covered strawberries (thank you Nick for dipping them) and splattered/drizzled it with milk chocolate.

It was tasty!

That's Kyli in the white dress

and that's me, of course...

It was a great shower!!!

Point A to Point B...

It looks like we have a crawler! I knew that he was starting to get the idea when I would leave the room, come back a minute later and he would be in a different spot on the floor.

This time, Nick and I were in the room and I got it on video. The video is 4 minutes long and very entertaining if you love babies (Bryant in particular), baby laughs (Bryant's in particular), dogs (Dixie girl) and dog treats. Unfortunately, it will not upload to the blog.

Basically, Bryant is really watching Dixie and laughing at her play with and chew on her treat. She eventually lays down and Bryant crawls over to her, continuing to laugh while she devours the treat. The best part is how patient Dixie is with him. He grabs her ear, reaches for her mouth and Dixie doesn't even flinch.....She is an amazing big sister!
