TV Repair Man

So the “pop of death” (similar to the blue screen of death on a computer) decided to visit our TV a couple of weeks ago. Nick being a "problem solver" by trade decided he could fix the TV rather than buy a new one or pay an outrageous amount to take it to a repair shop.

Nick researched online (theGoogle) to find the likely root cause.

His research determined the likely cause was one of two main boards in the TV. To confirm he took the TV off the wall, removed the back cover and felt the heat sink on each board to note which was not heating up and thus the culprit.

He bought the needed, re-manufactured parts on line and waited...

He decided to cook to pass the time.

The parts came and it was like Christmas morning.

Here is Nick all proud that he had completed his mission, the TV back in action.

We don't have any action shots but it should be noted that Nick (the Beast) removed and rehung the 110 lb. TV all by himself.

What a handy husband you have. Maybe he can teach mine a few tricks. :)
