Had to share this

Nick is working from home today because his clients office is closed for the MLK holiday. We went out this morning to pick up some groceries...and as many times as B and I have been grocery shopping this has never happened...

Also, he's getting closer and closer at figuring out that he can stand alone without holding on to something or someone. I got it on video for a second this weekend and a couple of stills...this makes my heart pound, cause the minute he figures it out we're going to be in for it...

Granny tricking him...the second he let go she would move the exer-saucer away...

TV Repair Man

So the “pop of death” (similar to the blue screen of death on a computer) decided to visit our TV a couple of weeks ago. Nick being a "problem solver" by trade decided he could fix the TV rather than buy a new one or pay an outrageous amount to take it to a repair shop.

Nick researched online (theGoogle) to find the likely root cause.

His research determined the likely cause was one of two main boards in the TV. To confirm he took the TV off the wall, removed the back cover and felt the heat sink on each board to note which was not heating up and thus the culprit.

He bought the needed, re-manufactured parts on line and waited...

He decided to cook to pass the time.

The parts came and it was like Christmas morning.

Here is Nick all proud that he had completed his mission, the TV back in action.

We don't have any action shots but it should be noted that Nick (the Beast) removed and rehung the 110 lb. TV all by himself.

Family in the Snow

View from the back

B and I before we rode down the driveway on the exersaucer base...kinda fun, and just my speed. Safety precaution...Nick did it first, then me and then me and B.

Nick decided to clean the snow and ICE off of his car.

I have no idea what Dixie thought she was going to find

Poor little birdies house is all covered up.

Snow Day

What a way to wake up...pretty snow blanketing our neighborhood.

B can barely move. He has on so many layers:

Layer 1: LS moose pjs and socks
Layer 2: LS footed pjs
Layer 3: LS AL onesie (not snapped) and lined pants
Layer 4: Sweater
Layer 5: AL wind-suit
Layer 6: Shoes and a toboggan
[no mittens, but his hands were supposed to be tucked into his sweater and wind-jacket]

Praise the Lord!! my ski bib still fit!!!

Burrrrr!!!! We came right back inside...

Roll Tide!

Game time was spent in our bedroom today since the TV downstairs blew...a blog on that to come.

I was trying to teach B to say "Roll Tide" all morning. He got the Tide, but still having trouble with the Roll, so we are saying "Tide Tide" instead! Whatever works people, whatever works!
