House updates ...

We have been in our house for two weeks now. It feels so nice to have everything unpacked and in its place. I was finally able to hang my hummingbird feeder. This was given to us a little over 3 years ago at one of our wedding showers. We had a hummingbird at our feeder a day after we hung it up. I think I now have three that come.

Check it out:

Also, we finally decided it was time to buy a lawn mower. Nick, has been very excited about this day because he has convinced himself that mowing the lawn is going to be fun. I think the truth finally came out when he told one of salesmen, "I'm kind of lazy, so I'm look'in for a self propel mower." I think it took him about an hour to cut the grass today, so we will see if it becomes a headache after a while.

Tummy Tracker ...

I missed taking a 32 week picture, but here I am at 34 wks. It's Sunday night and I am ready for bed.

First, please ignore how terrible I look. Labor Day meant not getting dressed day. Plus, I have been doing laundry and cleaned up a bit inside today while Nick mowed the lawn.

We have been so busy with moving we forgot all about my 28 wk picture, but here I am at 30 wks 2 days. I think I have finally caught up, if not passed my dad.

I somehow deleted my 24 wk picture, so here I am at Lake Martin. I am 25 weeks. Sorry it's not a profile, but I will make sure to post my 26 wk profile picture on time so I don't delete it by mistake.

Lake Martin 2009

Nick and I visited Lake Martin this weekend with couples from our Sunday School class. We had a blast! Here we all are on Saturday night after dinner and a long day on the water.

Left to right: Daisy, Mandy and Nick, Casey and David, Brad and Angela, Katie and Seung Hwan, Kasi and Hank

Hank and Kasi are from Alexander City, AL and Hank's family lives in a house on Lake Martin. They invited us and other couples from our class to come down for the weekend. We all got on the boat early Saturday morning for a day of lake fun. I was not able to partake in the lake fun, but I enjoyed watching everyone and was able to document the day with pictures and video.

It's a BOY ...

Oh Boy!

Nick and I went to the OB today for my 20 week ultrasound and appt. We were very excited about this appt. because our last ultrasound was done when I was 12 weeks.

Ultrasounds are amazing...We saw him open is mouth, swallow, open and close one of his hands. We can already see his stubbornness. His legs were crossed so it took a while for us to see...well, you know...the goods! He also likes to have his hands close to his face...which, does that mean he is going to be shy? He was very comfortable nestled in my left rib cage. He is positioned head down, laying on his left side, with his legs up and crossed.

As for the picture above...this is his butt. Imagine changing his diaper and it all makes sense. The arrow points the way. The tech. was not able to get a shot of his "front" because his legs were crossed.

His movements are getting stronger and stronger. I can't wait for the day Nick can feel it.
