Appointment today

All I know right now is that on Ultrasound Bradley is fine. His heart is beating, the blood is flowing through the umbilical cord, he is practice breathing, he is playing with his feet...

I did overhear the ultrasound technician call my Dr.s nurse and I believe I heard her say that my amniotic fluid had dropped since my Perinatal visit last Thursday but the amount was not significant. I also heard that my gallbladder was enlarged.

All will be confirmed when I speak to my Dr. I hope that will be tomorrow but potentially Monday as the blood test results take 24-48 hrs.

Till then...here are some happys...

Bradley's letters are finally finished. Yeah!!!! And his Roll Tide diaper wreath...

Pregnancy Update

Family and friends,

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up of an urgent prayer request for me and Bradley. I am experiencing severe itching all over my body. My chest was itching yesterday and I just thought it was because of a body splash I used, but I woke up last night at 2:00 a.m. and was itching all over...really bad on my feet and neck. When I went to the Dr. yesterday for my 34 wk routine appointment I didn't mention my chest itching to the midwife because I didn't feel it was significant. However, I called my Dr. this morning just to be sure. Well, turns out I have to go to the Dr. tomorrow for an ultrasound and bloodwork to check for a condition called intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy.

Here is a link if you would like to read more about it...

http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancycomplications/cholestasispregnancy.html

Basically, it's a condition where my gall bladder and liver are not functioning properly to process bile causing it to leak into my bloodstream. I have all of the symptoms. The dark urine which I did ask the midwife about, but thought it was because I was dehydrated from being sick with a stomach bug last week and I am also on an iron supplement which could alter the color of your urine, so she just brushed it off.

My hope is that it is all just a side effect from swelling or I just have dry skin.

Please pray for us; Bradley's and my safety, healing if it is something, patience on waiting to hear about the bloodwork as it takes 24-48 hrs, a peace in knowing that God is going to take care of us.

XO,
Mandy

P.S. If I do not go into labor on my own or there are no complications where the Dr. would take him early Bradley will be born December 9, 2011. I have scheduled my repeat C-Section for that day. The C-Section is scheduled for 12:45 p.m.

Halloween

We had a fall festival party back early October and B wore the costume that I found at a consignment sale. The poor baby was sausaged in this costume. It was too short and not very comfortable.

Luckily, a sweet friend, Natalie Berry, offered a costume for us to borrow and I couldn't pass it up. So, here B is as Nemo...

A group of us decided to get together on Halloween night for some food and fellowship. We had a great time. Even the grandma's got to join in the fun...

I am so glad my mom was here to join in the fun and meet some of our wonderful friends.

I love this picture of Bryant and his pal, Henry. The look on Henry's face is priceless...

Hat, Hat, Hat! Bryant knows alot about that!

We recently celebrated Bryant's 2nd Birthday. The party theme was hats...Bryant loves hats! Family and friends came to the party at my parents house wearing their favorite hat. We all had a great time hanging out, eating yummy food and enjoying our time with the B man.

When I first decided that hats were going to be the theme I had a really hard time trying to figure out how I was going to make it all work. I knew I had to use all the hats that Bryant plays with, but the trouble was how was I going to make that look cute. I think I accomplished my goal...

As warned, I did get a little choked up during the Birthday song. It was short lived though because I couldn't help but laugh at how B was eating his cupcake...

I ended up letting B open his presents. I had first thought I wouldn't because I didn't want to overload his senses, but he seemed ok after the first few so we kept on going. He got a lot of wonderful things. Thank you everyone!

He took a nice long nap when the party was over and was ready to play when he got up. The first thing he wanted to play with was his new blocks...

We would build towers and he would knock them down....boooooooooommmmmm!

He got a Lightning McQueen Light. The best part is that it talks when you press the button. He thinks it's hilarious when McQueen says, "That's what I'm talkin' about!"

Thank you everyone for making his day so special.

Update

What an interesting couple of weeks. Bryant has not been able to attend MMO as he has been sick with cold/allergy and teething symptoms.

Last week, his runny nose started on Monday and on Wednesday he developed a little cough. So, we went to the pediatrician on Thursday and they of course said it was an Upper Respiratory Infection along with teething symptoms...nothing they could do, just told me to give him Benadryl to help dry up his nose.

This week, I kept him out of MMO on Tuesday as his nose was still running and his cough had gotten worse. So, on Wednesday we went back to the Dr. Because his symptoms have lasted more than a week and because his right ear had fluid on it the Dr. gave him an antibiotic. I really hope this medicine takes effect soon because he needs to be well for his party this Saturday.

This is a picture of him from Wednesday at the Dr...

He went back to school today and was so excited... he ran into his room and gave his teacher the biggest hug. It was the sweetest thing. He was of course exhausted when I picked him up, but I was so glad to see that he had a good day.

I had my 32 week OB appointment on Tuesday. Luckily, Nick was able to take B to lunch and then back to his office while I went to my appointment. Nick said B put on a show for everyone. He said there were about 8 people around his cube at one point. This is what I walked up to when I got there to pick him up...

A BIG Thank You to the best Da-Da and Babe in the World!!!

As far as Me and Bradley are concerned...I am experiencing a lot of discomfort. Apparently, Bradley is going to be a bigger baby than Bryant. At my appointment I was 32 wks and 5 days. The Dr. measured my belly and the measurement should be consistent with how many weeks you are. However, my belly measured 35.5 inches. My Dr. hadn't seen me in a while so his face was priceless to say the least. This doesn't mean Bradley will be early, just that my body is making him a nice double wide for the remainder of his stay. I can tell based on how he moves in my belly that he's bigger; more meat on his bones than B. I can't imagine him being over 8 lbs. though. My guess right now is 7 lbs. 8 oz. and 20 inches. Bryant was 6 lbs. 10 oz and 20 inches.

Get excited! We are getting a new dishwasher next week because ours decided it was a good time to stop working. Here are a couple of pics of B from this morning. He was helping me wash dishes...

B has had this bouncy/musical turtle for a very long time...I would say since he was about 18 months old and he has sat on it a total of 2 times. This morning he decided to watch TV while sitting on this turtle...

We are getting geared up for his birthday party on Saturday. I hope to have lots of fun pictures to share next week.
