Nick and I went to Medieval Times with our friends, Shane and Lindsay Dietrich. Neither of us had been and heard it was something you had to do. So, Lindsay made the reservations and we went...on Valentines Day.We were crowned when when arrived and treated with the utmost chivalry. We were given red carnations and were deemed "Good Sir" and "My Lady". We were yelled at by our waiter (not mean, had to for all to hear). We were asked to eat with our hands (no utensils available in those days) and we ate off of metal plates and drank out of metal mugs (were not to be used to make sound effects). Our meal consisted of the following: Tomato Bisque Soup, Half Roasted Chicken, Ribs, Baked Potato, and Apple Pie (kind of like you get at McDonald's...it was delicious!). We were on the "Blue" Knights team. Which is the color crown we were given when we arrived. Other knights: Yellow, Red and Yellow, Black and White, Green (mean, enemy), and Red.
The tournament and games were great, but the highlight for me was seeing the AMAZING horses. That was my favorite part. I hope you enjoy the pictures. It really was a great Valentines Day.

Hilarious! And on Valentines! I've always wanted to go, but just wasn't sure... Were kiddos there? Wonder what John would think.
Yes, but they were all elementary age or more. The boys had swords and such...cute! He would like the horses and the lights, and eating with his hands...but not sure he would understand the fighting.
